The Tucker Trimmer tool was designed to help quilter’s quickly and easily trim down units that are made with triangles: half square triangle squares, quarter square triangle squares (hourglass units), and combinations of half square and quarter square triangle squares (combination units).

This tool and technique will have you build your units slightly oversized and then quickly trim them to perfect shapes. The Four Patch Square Up©Tool is designed to work with units that finish to whole or half inch increments, from ½” finished up to 6” finished unit sizes.

This tool is a must have if you like making quilts with these tall star point units. Sometimes known as “Peaky and Spike”, a nickname attached to the unit about 20 years ago by a famous quilter, Doreen Speckman, this particular shape has perplexed quilters forever.

An in between tool that trims down Flying Geese units in 9 additional size not covered with the Wing Clipper I. Many of today’s best designers like to create quilts and patterns with Flying Geese units that are based on finished heights of ¼” and ¾” increments.

Although the ruler shape is similar to the V Block, the final unit has two seamlines radiating from a single corner, so the center triangle in the finished unit resembles a beam of light shining out of that corner. Accurate construction has always been challenging until now. With the Corner Beam tool, all the shapes are cut slightly over sized and once sewn, trimmed to extremely precise units with seams perfectly placed for a crisp sharp point every time.
